Backstage with Accept: True Temperament Meets 50 Years of Metal
Invited backstage before last night’s show in Gothenburg, True Temperament got a rare and personal moment with Accept thanks to bassist Martin Motnik. And this was no casual hello.
Martin has been curious about True Temperament for a long time, so we came prepared. One of our Mattisson basses was in hand, ready to be put through its paces. The result? Big smiles and clear approval. The kind of reaction you hope for but never take for granted.
Then things got even better.
Martin has been curious about True Temperament for a long time, so we came prepared. One of our Mattisson basses was in hand, ready to be put through its paces. The result? Big smiles and clear approval. The kind of reaction you hope for but never take for granted.
Then things got even better.
Guitar legend Wolf Hoffmann dropped by, picked up one of our guitars, and instantly locked in. You could feel the curiosity turning into genuine interest. Moments like that do not need much explaining. They speak for themselves.
What happens next? We will see. But let’s just say the door is open.
After the show, the vibe shifted into something equally special. A relaxed hang with the band, friends, and guests turned into a steady stream of conversations, questions, and hands-on curiosity about True Temperament. The kind of organic buzz you cannot manufacture.
All of this unfolded as Accept celebrates an incredible 50 years in heavy metal. Their Half a Century of Metal 1976 to 2026 tour is more than a milestone, it is a statement. With Swedish stops on May 3 in Gothenburg and May 6 in Stockholm, the band is not just looking back, they are proving exactly why they still matter.
And somewhere between backstage conversations and roaring amplifiers, a new chapter might just have started. We guess you could say they no longer Accept intonation problems.
