True Temperament frets are a Swedish invention by Anders Thidell to get a perfectly intoned guitar. Since 2022, we have also started a factory in Trollhättan, Sweden where we manufacture frets, fretboards, necks and guitars. Strandberg Guitars, Mattisson Bass and Freak Guitar Lab.
True Temperament® LabWorks is an innovation initiative where small-series, high-end guitars are designed and built in Sweden to explore and refine new technologies, materials, and construction methods in real-world production. Each instrument is developed hands-on in close collaboration with selected partners, using playability and musical response as the ultimate benchmark.
This is a handmade guitar built in the True Temperament workshop in Trollhättan, Sweden, where craftsmanship and innovation meet.
The body is crafted in Ukraine by the skilled luthiers at Universum Guitars and brought to Sweden for final assembly. Each neck is built by hand and fitted with the True Temperament fretting system, delivering precise intonation and exceptional balance across the entire fingerboard.
This precision carries through every detail of the instrument, resulting in a consistently in-tune feel across the neck and an effortless playing experience that lets you focus entirely on your music.
Developed together with Lundgren Pickups and VegaTrem, this guitar is equally at home in the studio and on stage, built to respond with clarity, stability, and expression.
